Captain Ron has been fishing Rockport and the Texas Coastal Bend for over 40 years. He is a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, experienced guide whose goal is to insure you a safe, fun, and successful outdoor fishing adventure in Texas. He goes wherever the fish are in the Texas Coastal Bend - from San Antonio Bay to Baffin Bay, pursuing speckled trout, redfish, black drum and flounder through the coastal bend's seven major bay systems. Live bait, lures, drift, wade fish or fly-fish – your choice. He will put you where the fish are, will help you select the right live or artificial bait, and coach you on techniques. Capt. Ron caters to all levels of experience. From beginning anglers looking for their first redfish, to the seasoned veteran, Capt. Ron Coulston promises to make every trip a fun and rewarding adventure.

Captain Ron Coulston will take you out in his 24-foot Haynie Cat Boat with 250 HP Mercury Pro XS motor. This shallow water boat lets you get up in the shallows where those reds are tailing and the big trout are feeding. Being able to float in 8-9 inches of water, she will run through even less skinny water. The oxygenated live-well system will keep all the live bait needed.

Fishing the Texas Gulf Coastal Bend is as good as it gets. You can experience the excitement of battling trophy Speckled Trout, Redfish & Flounder year round. During the summer months of May through September you’re probably going to see the largest quantity of fish in the bays, but in the winter from December through April is typically the time of year when the biggest trophy trout are caught. Baffin Bay is known for the trophy trout caught there during the winter months. Also in the winter, the big 20-60 pound black drum are really biting. October and November is when the flounder make their fall run. So take your pick, Captain Ron is committed to putting you on the fish.
